The Care and Nurturing of Young Engineers and Inventors

For those who know, love, and mentor young engineers:



But despite all the interest in increasing the pool of American engineers here in the U.S., most non-engineering professionals are downright ignorant went it comes to knowing how to cultivate talent and even how to recognize it. We don't think it's on purpose. It's usally due to the tyranny of our thinking styles.

    Check out the creative problem solving programs from Destination Imagination.org. Small teams of students work to solve technical and creative challenges. New challenges are published each year. Teams compete at regional tournaments and can advance to statewide and national competitions.

    My little inventor guy just lives for DI.
