Global Student Conversations & Collaborations

Great idea - High schools partner across the globe in collaborative web projects. Excerpt: "We want to create a website - like an eBay for medical supplies like bandages, syringes, blankets, incubators - so that poor hospitals can put up on the Internet the things they need and wealthy hospitals can ... agree to send them those things."

On a smaller note, our kids were delighted when a student in India responded quickly to are question about a game he had posted at flashkit.com, and our son was paired with a writing buddy in an online course living in Hong Kong. Please let us know if you can personally recommend any international email penpal site. We have not used the bottom two links below, but they may be promising. If you have relative overseas, that may be even better.
