Very shy children may process some facial expressions differently

We really do perceive and experience very differently. This study showed that shy 3rd and 4th graders process emotional facial expressions differently. But don't conclude that differences necessarily mean 'disease'. The second link below describes a study that found that women had a stronger emotional memory than men.
