Superior Personal Memory

As we think back on this year and look forward to 2005, maybe it'd be relevant to post this link to the Queens Square article showing the functional brain imaging of people with superior memories... It's interesting to think that we can trick our brains into remembering if we store it like we personally experienced it. Most of the champions in the World Memory Championships used this strategy first described developed by an ancient Greek philosopher - lists of unrelated information are placed in 'the minds eye' at specific locations along a path...

We have seen this strategy be useful for some children and adults with a strong personal and visual spatial memory. neuroscience/Education/NESC720/Maguire.pdf
