Premature births lead to wide-ranging disabilities

This new report shows that a staggering 72% percent of extremely premature babies have learning difficulties detectable by the age of 6, yet most of the school-age children we see who were born premature were 'dismissed' from Developmental Clinic before they even entered preschool. Because 1 in 10 births are premature, the learning challenges of these kids are just being missed in the classroom. Thanks, Michelle for letting me know about this article. births lead to wide-ranging disabilities
