The Language of Jazz

This one is for my brother. I'll post the link to the full article whenever it's available on free access - but for the jazz lovers: magnetoencephalography showed that jazz musicians listen to rhythm changes with their left hemispheres (language areas), while non musicians just 'listen' to music with their right hemispheres. This study is a bit analogous to Tchalenko and Miall's studies of the artist who 'thought' with his frontal lobes when he looked at an subject, rather than just 'seeing' with the visual cortex like the non-artist.
